Erstmal ein komisches Gef\u00fchl, als uns das bewusst wird. Sonst kommt uns Singapur sehr sauber und aufger\u00e4umt vor. Dar\u00fcber hinaus \u00fcberraschend gr\u00fcn: Entlang der acht- bis zw\u00f6lfspurigen nigelnagelneuen Autobahn erblicken wir statt Palm\u00f6lplantagen abwechslungshalber gepflegte Gr\u00fcnanlagen mit sch\u00f6nem park\u00e4hnlichem Baumbestand. An der Endstation unserer Busreise stellen wir fest, dass man das Zweitagesticket f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nicht hier, sondern weiter in der Innenstadt bekommt. Also begeben wir uns erstmal auf einen ausgedehnten Ausflug in die Unterwelt. Die S- und U-Bahnen hei\u00dfen MRT, sind extrem sauber, effektiv und fahren pausenlos. Die Schienen sind vom Bahnsteig an den Haltestellen \u00fcberall durch gl\u00e4serne Mauern mit automatischen T\u00fcren getrennt: Attent\u00e4ter, Amokl\u00e4ufer und Selbstm\u00f6rder haben keine Chance. Die Menschen um uns herum verhalten sich tats\u00e4chlich sehr diszipliniert. Die meisten trotten dahin, den Blick fest auf ihr Smartphone gerichtet. Selbst vor Schnellrestaurants gibt es ordentliche Schlangen, wo man sich anstellt, bis ein Angestellter einen zum Tisch f\u00fchrt. Wir sehen viel Gr\u00fcn in der Stadt und sehr wenig M\u00fcll am Boden. Gleich in den ersten Stunden hier beobachten wir, wie die Polizei einen jungen Mann verfolgt und festnimmt. Kurz darauf im U-Bahnhof tritt ein Uniformierter mit einer Art Stableuchte unter die Wartenden und scannt H\u00e4nde, Gesichter und Kleidung. Etwa in Sri Lanka konnten wir uns auch bei mehrst\u00fcndigen Busreisen\ndarauf verlassen, dass irgendjemand uns schon sagen w\u00fcrde, wann wir aussteigen\nm\u00fcssten. Hier in Singapur oder auch zuletzt in Malaysia ist uns so etwas nicht\npassiert. Heute sa\u00dfen wir in einem Caf\u00e9 und versuchten verzweifelt im dortigen\nWLAN an zwei Handys herauszubringen, wo wir unser Ticket bekommen. Das ist mit etwa 35\u20ac doppelt so viel wie unsere teuerste Unterkunft bisher \u00fcberhaupt, aber f\u00fcr hier noch einigerma\u00dfen erschwinglich. In Little India gehen wir preiswert und gut essen, wenn auch doppelt so teuer wie zuletzt in Malaysia. Als wir uns nach einem Spaziergang noch ein Bier g\u00f6nnen, fallen wir beim Bezahlen beinahe um: 12 Dollar (SGD) f\u00fcr ein 0,33l Bier ist nicht gerade ein Schn\u00e4ppchen (~8\u20ac). <br>Daf\u00fcr ist die D\u00e4mmerung in den Bay Gardens, dem prachtvollen, weltber\u00fchmten Park mit den riesigen k\u00fcnstlichen Baumskulpturen ein kostenloser Genuss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Am n\u00e4chsten Tag erkunden wir die ber\u00fchmten Wolkenkratzer Singapurs noch ein wenig ausf\u00fchrlicher, durchwandern Up- und Downtown, fahren viel mit der Stadtbahn herum und begeben uns schlie\u00dflich nachmittags zur\u00fcck zum Kapselhotel. Wir haben hier unser Gep\u00e4ck abgestellt und d\u00fcrfen auch nochmal duschen, obwohl wir l\u00e4ngst ausgecheckt haben. Insgesamt hat uns Singapur \u00fcberraschend gut gefallen. Dann geht es wieder mal zum Flughafen und das Kapitel Asien ist beendet.
