Wir haben es geschafft. Mit ein paar Screenshots auf dem Handy (von der Thai Schreibweise unseres Zieles) und mit Hilfe einer freundlichen Optikerin, die bei unseren Verhandlungen mit dem TukTuk-Mann gedolmetscht hat. Sie sprach zwar auch kein Englisch, aber scheinbar hat sie ungef\u00e4hr verstanden, was wir wollten. Beruhigend, dass der Ranger am Parkeingang gleich mal ein Foto von jedem Besucher macht. Wohl, damit er sp\u00e4ter besser wei\u00df, wie die verloren gegengenen Personen aussehen. Anhand der Karte, die er mir gibt, erkl\u00e4rt er mit Gesten, wo wir lieber nicht hingehen sollten. Zuletzt werden wir noch gefragt, ob wir auch Wasser dabei haben. Jahrtausende der Erosion durch Wind und Wasser haben tiefe Canyons, steile Klippen und sehr skurrile Felsformationen herausgeschliffen. Wie riesige Pilze oder Tische stehen Felsbl\u00f6cke auf einem gl\u00fchend hei\u00dfen Felsplateau. Andere Formen erinnern an Tiere; es gibt ein Kamel, einen Elefanten und alles m\u00f6gliche andere. Der Park ist zur Zeit sehr m\u00e4\u00dfig besucht. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass es knapp 40\u00b0C hei\u00df ist? Jedenfalls begegnen uns auf unserer etwa dreist\u00fcndigen Wanderung nur drei andere Personen. Trotz der Hitze gibt es immer wieder kleinere Rinnsale auf dem Fels. Offenbar hat es noch in der letzten Nacht geregnet und die sp\u00e4rliche Vegetation hat sich genauso vollgesogen wie die Inseln aus Erde und d\u00fcrrem Gras. Wir entdecken sogar einen kleinen Wasserfall, doch die Moskitos motivieren uns nicht zu bleiben. Als unsere drei Liter Wasser zur Neige gehen, drehen wir um und trotten Richtung Ausgang.
